Shelli King joins The Maples as Business Development Manager, bringing more than 25 years of experience in healthcare sales, marketing, and business development. A longtime Dallas/Fort Worth resident, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from LeTourneau University and began her career in pharmaceutical sales before spending more than a decade in functional medicine, where she developed a passion for addressing the root causes of illness and promoting whole-person health.

In 2020, Shelli joined Amen Clinics and played a key role in the successful launch of its Dallas/Fort Worth location, building an extensive referral network among psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, physicians, and other behavioral health professionals. She later transitioned into behavioral healthcare with Acadia Healthcare, helping patients access appropriate levels of care, before continuing her work with Meadows Behavioral Healthcare, a medical detox program, Hickory Recovery Network, and a boutique residential treatment program in Colorado.

Throughout her career, Shelli has focused on building trusted partnerships and expanding access to quality behavioral healthcare. She is honored to join The Maples, where she looks forward to supporting the organization’s mission of providing life-changing care for adolescent girls and their families while partnering with referral professionals across TX.

On a personal note, I LOVE to travel and sea turtles are an important part of determining where we go. One of my all-time favorite movies is “The Shawshank Redemption.” I love the MrBallen podcast as he discusses “the strange, dark, and mysterious in story format,” and I’m a HUGE animal lover, fostering over a dozen dogs in the last few years. Family means everything to me! I have two daughters and two pittie furbabies. Here are a few of my favorite pictures.
