Jacquetta Jenkins

Born in historic Selma, Alabama, Jacquatta L. Jenkins—affectionately known as Chef Jay—was raised in a proud military family and eventually made her home in Oklahoma City. After graduating high school in 1994, she honorably served in the United States Army for 10 years, including six years of active duty and four years in the reserves.

Following her military service, Chef Jay pursued her passion for the culinary arts, graduating from Le Cordon Bleu in 2005. With over 25 years of experience as an Executive Chef, she brings heart, soul, and Southern flair to every dish she creates. In 2016, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she continues to share her love for cooking with the community. A proud mother of two sons and one daughter, and a doting grandmother to two beautiful granddaughters, Chef Jay finds joy in bringing people together through food.

Her mission is simple: to make you smile—and to make your stomach happy.
