Length of stay from a residential treatment program can often vary from person to person. We recommend 60-90 days. We believe that longer stays in a structured setting leads to long-term success.
At The Maples, we treat teenage girls who are experiencing depression, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, disordered eating, drug and alcohol addiction, co-occurring psychiatric disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, and/or personality disorder.
If this level of care is being suggested by a psychiatrist, psychologist, professional counselor, or social worker then we can do a free screening over the phone. During the free screening we will obtain specific information to make the best decision for your teenager. Residential treatment programs offer a stable, safe, and 24-7 monitored home-like environment.
The Maples has trained professionals that are specialized in treating mental health issues. Our team consists of Child and Adolescent board-certified psychiatrists and addictionologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, professional counselors, clinical social workers, and dietitians. Treatment teams will communicate daily with one another in order to track treatment progress. In addition to our treatment team, family involvement is an important part of treatment at The Maples. We focus heavily on family involvement in order to ensure transparency and offer additional education and support during the treatment period. Families are required to attend least 4 hours of family therapy per week. Families are required to attend at least 3–5 hours of family therapy per week via telehealth. Parents must also attend a family intensive weekend.
